Community Engagement and Support

• Faith-Based Leadership: As a dedicated member of St. Joseph Parish, serving as a Pastoral Council Member, PADS Ministry Coordinator, Family Faith Formation, and Knight of Columbus, I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive community. I will work to strengthen the ties between faith-based organizations and city initiatives, ensuring that our community's moral and ethical values are reflected in local governance.

• Youth and Family Programs: With experience as a Family and Youth Religious Classes Instructor and a coach for JP2 Youth Basketball, I understand the importance of nurturing the next generation. I will advocate for expanded youth programs and family services, providing safe spaces and resources for our young people to grow and thrive.

Education and Youth Development

• Support for Educational Institutions: As a proud alumnus of Marmion Academy and Waubonsee Community College, I recognize the value of quality education. I will advocate for initiatives that support local schools and higher education institutions, ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed.

• Promoting Lifelong Learning: I believe in the power of education to transform lives. I will work to expand opportunities for lifelong learning in our community, from early childhood education to adult education programs.

Leadership and Experience

• Executive Director: My leadership experiences has given me the skills and insights needed to manage complex organizations and advocate for community-focused initiatives. I will bring these leadership qualities to the role of alderman, working tirelessly to improve the quality of life for all residents of Ward 1.

Civic Engagement and Community Service

• Encouraging Civic Participation: I will work to increase civic engagement by promoting volunteerism and community involvement. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community that works collaboratively to address our shared challenges.

• Active Membership in Civic Organizations:  My extensive experience in various civic organizations has given me a deep understanding of what true transparency and accountability look like in practice. These roles have taught me how to effectively engage with both community members and city officials, ensuring that open communication and honest governance are at the forefront of my approach. As your alderman, I will make it a priority to uphold these principles, ensuring that the voices of Ward 1 residents are not only heard but also respected and acted upon. 

Disability Advocacy and Legislative Work

• Expanding Services for the Disability Community: I have worked tirelessly with state representatives and senators in Springfield to expand and evolve services for individuals in our community who live with disabilities. My commitment to enhancing the rights and well-being of these individuals is unwavering. 

• Expanding Access to Opportunities: I have collaborated with legislators to create greater access to employment opportunities and mental health resources for people with disabilities. I believe in building a more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their abilities.

Advocacy for American Families

• Community Organizer:  As a community organizer with over a decade of experience, I have worked tirelessly to address the challenges faced by all Americans, especiallyworking families striving to make ends meet. I will champion policies that provide comprehensive support for everyone, including affordable housing, job training, and access to essential services, ensuring that no one is left behind. 

• Inclusive Policies: I am dedicated to ensuring that all residents of Ward 1 feel represented and supported. I will work towards creating inclusive policies that address the needs of marginalized communities, promoting equality and justice for all.
